Entry for WGJ 168 where the theme was "Pass the Torch." I couldn't think of a unique take on the theme and ended up going with the obvious literal and metaphorical interpretations: the passing along of an object and the metaphorical handing over the reins. Once again, I learned a lot and was apply to build on things from the last weekly game jam I participated in (Week 166). I encountered a lot of bugs related to switching play characters, although I think most of these are taken care of now. My main issues at this point relate to the camera and balancing.

In the game, the hammer Mjölnir needs to be returned, and you need to switch vikings along the way to complete the task. Objects and enemies are spawned randomly each playthrough. The stats for new vikings are also always randomly generated. You have to decide which of the options is more appealing, e.g. viking with low health but strong attacks, or a viking with high stamina but weak healing skills, etc. Vikings also have immunities, which make them less susceptible to attacks from certain enemies. For example, an enemy with low health can compensate by having many immunities.

A - Move Left
D - Move right
Space - Jump
Esc - Pause/See Stats
LMB - Melee
RMB - Range

Both attacking and jumping consume stamina.
