Seven Seas
The goal of the game is simple: sail as long as you can. Forward movement is controlled through the raising and lowering of sails. Colliding with obstacles/enemies or falling behind and going off screen cause damage to the ship. Obstacles need to be avoided, or in the case of the Kraken and enemy ships, can also be shot with the cannon.

First game jam entry, specifically for GBJAM 8. Good experience and I am just glad to have completed something. That said, there is plenty of room for improvement. Some of the most notable points:
- There is no layering/depth difference for enemy sprites, which can result in some funny overlap
- The spawning algorithm is still pretty simple
- On a more superficial level, larger variety of enemies and obstacles

i was enjoying this, but the cannon firing is very hit and miss - seems like there is some kind of delay that stops the button from pressing and responding.
